Okay, seems that the bulk mail will still not send out. Something to do
with server security. I am really wanting to get these emails sent out
to the members, but they wont seem to go.
It's not that big of a problem, i just want to let all the members know that MJHQ.com is back online.
The
mail problem isnt several this time. Its only affecting mass mailings.
I've tested the simple email notifications such as Validation emails
(the email you get when you first sign up that asks you to click the
link to validate) seem to send out, so its all cool for now.
One
of the problems that could be causing it is using the
headquarters@gmail.com addy. To prevent spam most secure servers only
allow emails to be sent from domains that are actually on the server
itself. So I had to create email for MJHQ.com, so the new email to
contact us, and the new email that will be used to send you
notifications will be contact@mjhq.com.
I am actually thinking
about creating no-reply@mjhq.com to send the auto forum emails from.
That'll help clean up unwanted mail from the main contact domain.
Also
we're using Live Custom domains for this service, so people will be
able to create their own @mjhq.com email addy at some point, which will
be cool and fun.
